Any caveats when switching from Universal Scraper?
BTW, "Generic" sounds really cheap, why not name it "Basic"/"Allround"/"Smart" Scraper... :-)

there aren't any known ones at least. but since it's new and not too many people have used it so far i feel there might be a few ones left to discover.

as for the name, guess i'm not that creative when it comes to picking one. 'allround' sounds nice though...

I vote Smart Scraper. That sounds so good. And considering all the amazing features and work thats gone into this scraper... It kind of is smart in its own unique way. really fits. BTW, amazing work developing this bro. for the first time litrally all my music got reconised and scraped perfectly. kodi looks really good now thanks to your awsome work. 100% recomend people give this a tryout. so far... works great. the only other thing left that needs working on is that name ;D
Thanks for this amazing scraper! Now there’s a new artists artwork type available in theaudiod, cutout…

…there already are lots of images available, could this one be added to the scraper, please?

Thanks!
nice, thanx for the headsup!

i've added it, so if you would be so kind to take it for a test drive:
metadata.generic.artists-1.0.17.zip

Thanks! I'll test it ASAP...

@ronie Already tested and it works faultlessly, thanks!
Cool just confirming it works, thanks for taking this up Manfeed.

@ronie what needs to be done to integrate these new artwork types into the Estuary skin?

Is it a case of adding an option in the skin config (for example to change the Artist Thumb to the Artist Cutout) or is a little more involved creating new views?
This is a great scraper; I especially like the special artist symbols that appear in the upper left box of the artist info window and that also appear on the OSD during playback of music files.  How do I get Kodi to rescrape my library artists to add these?  It is not letting me rescan my library to do this, just keeps going over the same artists that don't yet have artist info.  Thanks!
as far as i know, you would need to remove your music source and re-scrape it from scratch.

besides adding a skin settings, current views would need to be adjusted to support the cutout image types
(and fallback to thumb if no cutout is available).

it shouldn't be needed to add new view types specificly for cutout images,
just make sure the existing ones look good if cutout images are used.
