Hi there

just curious how to set up a 360 video i have to play back. when i stream it to oculus go its flat plane

Me too. As far as I know Kodi video section handles primarily 2d rectangular format and 3d on some equipment as either colour filtering of primary colours of light to produce a colour-shifted left and right eye images or active LCD shutter glasses using polarizing filters for left & right eyes and Kodi offers some settings for these. Using Oculus headset as the output device, the video would have to be massaged by software, and likely would have to be filmed specifically for this kind of hardware and in that; Kodi isn't what you're looking for.

Bit I like the idea.
