I've looked but can't seem to find a log that shows the progress of the current activity including which show/movie(s) are currently being scraped.   Is there a view that gives you clear detailed view of the progress of the job(s)?

the progress bar in the right corner (and you can click on that) is what we have.. to display the whole log would just be too much information for the user
