I am running version 17.0 because that is the only version that I could get to install on my windows 7 machine.

Chorus2 ver 2.4.2 came with.

I am trying to update to version 2.4.4, I have tried everything I believe thru the Kodi interface, including install from a "untrusted" zip file,
even that failed.

can I just overwrite the files in the webinterface.default folder in Program Files/Kodi ??

I am trying to keep my question simple, I hope I have succeeded

I did not find the answer to my question exactly BUT

I did get the update accomplished, it was the package I downloaded from the Chorus2 github repository.

Inside the zip for Chorus2 was a zip "webinterface.default.2.4.4" so I went back to the Kodi interface and the add-on from a zip file dialog(https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on_manager#Ho...a_ZIP_file)

I navigated to that zip and it worked
