Thanks primaeval for the quick fix, I can confirm its working on all my Kodi devices (all running 17.6).
A question about Dash streams, the live channels never work on any of my devices if I have Dash selected, this includes two Windows 10 PC's, two 2nd gen Amazon Fire TV boxes and a Vero 4K running OSMC,
is there a setting I'm missing to get live channels working via Dash or do they only work via HLS?
You need to manually enable the InputStream Adaptive addon before you can play DASH streams.
It it isn't enabled the iplayerwww setting will fall back to HLS.
I'm not sure why it's not enabled by default but that is how it is right now.

The live and catchup streams do come from different providers so it's not too surprising one works and the other doesn't.

Depending on your route to the stream sources you might not get a reliable service with the defaults, so experiment with akamai, bidi etc.

Some of the streams use http and some use https. It's possible some of your devices don't have the certificates or latest library updates to play the https streams.
That was more of a problem with Jarvis but the operating system plays a part too.
The Amazon boxes might have out of date https libraries as they are based on an older Android version.

InputStream Adaptive has been enabled on all my devices, catchup works well with Dash streams but the live channels never have.
Its not a major problem for me all the while HLS works, just curious if anyone else has the issue?
I don't know if ISP would make a difference but my internet is a 212 meg Virgin Media connection.
DASH live streams usually start off pretty low quality for me and settle down after a few seconds or even minutes.
Catchup streams have the luxury of not needing to be seen in real-time and by so many people at once so I can see why they are more stable.
If I want a guaranteed resolution I stick to HLS and put up with the initial delay that was introduced after Jarvis.

It's possible there are better sources for the DASH streams than are used in iplayerwww.
There are several for different devices and transports.
It might be worth experimenting with the live streaming from get_iplayer to see if any are better and maybe we could add them in.
I'm not sure if @CaptainT has done some more experiments recently.
I tried to find all of the streams at one stage and those are in my BBC Live test addon.

They are probably out of date now.
I cannot find an answer to this question in the forum so I will ask it here....

Can I use the DASH and inputstream adaptive in Kodi for Apple TV (from the 2015 versions) and so use this addon properly?
I don't know about your Apple device but the HLS streams are exactly bit for bit the same as the DASH streams.
The difference is that the InputStream Adaptive addon tries to compensate for a bad connection by lowering the bitrate whereas the HLS stream resolution is currently fixed.
If you watch the 720p 50fps streams from HLS or DASH you are looking at exactly the same picture.
I wanted exactly know if I can use the inputstream adaptive on the Apple TV Kodi (I asked the same question now to the developer of the Apple TV kodi)
I would like to have Kodi adapting the bitrate according to the network conditions.
At the moment I can use the iplayer addon only in HLS, at fixed bitrate.
Have a look in the .deb files for inputstream.adaptive for your device and os
eg
\org.xbmc.kodi-ios_17.6-0_iphoneos-arm.deb\data.tar\.\Applications\Kodi.app\AppData\AppHome\addons\inputstream.adaptive\
in
http://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/darwin/i...os-arm.deb
the inputstream adaptive is present at version 2.0.19 in my current build but I do not think there are available compatible decrypter files to put in cdm directory
and I believe these files are necessary for the inputstream adaptive to work
You don't need cdm files for iplayerwww. My special://home/cdm folder is empty.
that sounds great! I will try it later and let you know
I have never been able to get DASH to play on my Fire TV Stick, although the HLS streams work just fine. Whenever I enable DASH, and try to play something on iPlayer WWW, the entire Kodi app crashes after a few minutes of waiting for something to happen. I can use DASH or HLS with no issues on my Raspberry Pi Kodi installation. Just wondering whether there's something I need set on the Fire TV Stick to get it to work; I've tried selecting specific streams and changing the max speeds, but no joy.
can this one find link 4K ? BBC iPlayer to stream matches in 4K HDR in World Cup 2018 . I hope can play 4K by this add on .

I tested . I used Nvidia Shield TV . I can search all link . But only can play link "m3u8" , can't play link "f4m PC " . i don't know why
Can this add on find link 4K ( UHD )  ? BBC iPlayer to stream matches in 4K HDR in World Cup 2018 . I hope can play 4K by this add on .
Those links are probably quite out of date now and the f4m ones needed another addon.

If someone can find the urls for the 4k stream links I expect they could be added into the addon.
I doubt if they will be available through the web iPlayer interface but probably through 4k smart tvs.
If the streams are automatically added to the dash manifests then the addon should pick them up.
My tv is an old second-hand 720p plasma, so I doubt if I will be able to find them.
