Hi

Trying to play a dvd in ubuntu 18.4lts/kodi 18.6 (fresh installation). Hitting "play disc" on the menu does nothing.

Log attached - any ideas?

Thanks
Please provide the full, uncut log file. We prefer to have all the puzzle pieces, not just a few of them.
Also restart Kodi after you have enabled debugging, and then reproduce the problem(s).

Thanks for the reply.

Perhaps @DaVu can chip in.
There's not much I can do. libdvdread and libdvdnav fails to open the needed file. I don't own that DVD, so I can't test.  So in order to make that disc playable via Kodi, i would simply rip it with makemkv which is free for linux while in beta.

I also have some DVDs which didn't play in the past. But tbh, I don't use native DVD playback much with Kodi as it isn't that simple to build in a DVD drive into the case I use for my main HTPC
Cheers. It's easy enough to hop between Kodi and VLC, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything obvious.
