Ive created a smart playlist with a rule to play a selection of TV shows in random order but every time I select to play the spinning wheel flickers for about 30 seconds before playing... Is this normal?

Is there a better to do this?

Does not sound normal.

1. Can you post your smart playlist- either a screenshot of the settings of the xml file if you know where it is
2. How many tv shows and episodes in your library
3. Provide a Debug Log which captures you playing the playlist.
