hello 

i am looking for a workaround to stream what i am watching on kodi to my chromecast in my tv  

the player,xml file  i cant get to work 

i cant cast from goggle web browser using the cast button which is just a mirroring of the desktop which does not pick up the kodi program window upon the desktop on catalina 

any help is much appreciated

Kodi has no Chromecast functionality onboard. Mostly because it is proprietary software by Google.

yes i know i am looking for a workaround to be able to stream what i am watching to chromecast

Good luck with that.

The normal workaround is to use an external player app which has such capability and do it from there, but whether that can be done on a Mac I don't know.
