I think this thread has mostly outlived its usefulness now: http://buildbot.xbmc.org

With download links available from the main site here: http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/

Maybe worth it for those that need, for whatever reason, GL builds?

this is truly awesome. But it would still be nice with a client like xbmc update instead of downloading and installing of that website.
Yeah, I'm wondering whether xbmc update should just refer to the new buildbot and mirrors, thus lifting ikons, kricker and others from this timeconsuming undertakement (in the meantime, the community ought to raise a monument of some sort to them Smile).
Ikons thanks for all the builds you made for us!
I'd like to add my thanks and also if the new thing doesn't do gl beg the continuance of this as dx seemingly doesn't run crystal hd.
Indeed, thank you to everyone who has contributed nightly builds. In fact, it is because the builds were so popular that we decided we should do them officially.

Now your cpus can rest at night, Billy is happy to do the work.

And a big thanks from me. You guys released compiled versions quicker than I could do them myself. Relieved me from the chore of building to test.

Kudos
Many thanks to Ikon for the GL 26459 build, it solved the no-video issue on my older HTPC.

Quick question, does anyone know if the GL builds support the new skins (eg, confluence)?

Yeah they do.

Thanks to every last contributor in this thread. I've made use of all of your builds from the very beginning.

Are these really GL builds or are they DX?

Sorry, probably I wasn't clear. I meant that the official builds are DX and that, maybe, ikons or whoever else, might want to keep on producing GL builds for those that need them (and I've just discovered that apparently CrystalHD needs GL under Windows to work Sad)
I would really like to see the GL builds continue due to the lack of interlacing options in the DX ones. Thanks for everything you builders have done!

Thats sad news, where did you find out about the CrystalHD? Do you own one, or did you read it somewhere?

I was hoping to get the pci-x version when its (if) released, but if the DX build will standart for win32. There will be no use for it No

You realize we've thought about this, right? DirectX support will come, just give it time. Wiso has a broadcom card in the mail...

Are there any plans to continue to support the automatic update client?
natethomas Wrote:Are there any plans to continue to support the automatic update client?

and can the update client start to pull the updates of xbmc's mirror hosts?
or even better maybe have an update client integrated into xbmc that will work for all (linux, windows, mac).
