Full Version: Persistent Sound Drop Outs During MP3 Playback

Hi,

R Pi 4 running kodi 18.

Can somebody please help me with a problem that is driving me insane.

Whenever I listen to .mp3 files, I get persistent split second sound drop outs every 30 seconds or so. This doesn’t happen when I play .flac only .mp3

I read that this may be caused by replay gain being applied. I've tried turning this off but it doesn’t make any difference. All of my files do have replay gain tags applied.

Any ideas please?
Are you on wifi? What audio output are you using (e.g. hdmi, analogue or a usb/spi external device)?

It's ethernet connected. That output is analogue and I have 2 Pi that both have the same problem. They both have identical set ups so I'm assuming it's a setting in kodi that I'm not aware of.
