Full Version: TVHeadend works via wifi but not ethernet

I have live tv working on Kodi 18.7 on the Android Sony 900f via wifi but want to switch to ethernet due to a lot of loss connections.

When I connect the tv to ethernet, I can see I have access to the internet for other apps but when I load Kodi it will not connect to the TVHeadend server.  Does anybody have any idea why it works via wifi but not ethernet?
I have other HTSP set up via ethernet and they work fine it's just the Sony 900f which will not work via ethernet.

Below is the log from Kodi:

When I look at the log on the router I can see something was sent to the tvheadend server but nothing comes out.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
This is just a shot in the dark, but in the Tvheadend web configuration go to Configuration|Users|Access Entries and make sure that the IP address of your Kodi box is among the allowed networks for the hts user (or whatever username you use with Kodi).  It may be only configured to accept the IP range for your wireless network but not your wired one.

Thanks for the response, but I currently have 0.0.0.0/0,::/0 in the user account.  Let me know if I'm incorrect but I thought that basically allows anything access as long as the username and password are correct.

I ended up moving the TVheadend server to the same room as the sony tv which gave it access.  I'm pretty sure the Fios router is blocking it as I see messages in the firewall log as ethernet 1 blocked which the server was hooked in to and I could not figure out a way to unblock it.
