Weird situation. I've been using Kodi18.7 on my firestick for many months now, it had been working fine, now not so much.  I have a folder on an external shared USB drive on my main computer with about a hundred movies in it.  Kodi always saw all the movies and marked the played ones appropriately.

Now, for some reason it only sees about 9 movie files - all in that same folder on the USB drive.  No matter what I do I can't get it to see any of the rest.  I deleted the folder and readded it, rebooted the Firestick, looked in both Movie and Files section, the bulk of my files are just not seen all of a sudden.  Why?

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.
