Random note,
I asked for help earlier with ton of dependent ies failing during install,
I was told it was the wrong repo, but it wasn't.
What I had to do was try to install the skin,
Then when it lists the dependencies just before the install:
Manually install the Skin Helper Background Service from the dependencies view
Manually install the Skin Helper Service manually from the dependencies view
Then install the skin

F knows why.

You are not alone - I had multiple dependencies fail on a fresh install, but they installed fine on a second attempt.
Just looks like an badly sequenced install script, but could potentially be server errors/timeouts during the install - It’s not always easy to tell from the logs which error is the root cause and which is just a knock-on effect, but it looked like there were timeouts installing some of the dependencies for this skin. This is on a Shield Pro with an Ethernet connection to fast and stable fibre, and not something I have seen before over many years using Kodi, so that would be unusual.
Hi everyone,
First of all thank so much to AchillesPunks for this awesome skin. Love your work
My question: I have all working with no issues but I can't see how to refresh the awards.
I recently made another installation of kodi Leia (18.9) on my pc to made some testing.
Here I can see films like "luca" or "encanto" with the line "1 Oscar nominated" into awards field but in my raspberry I see "9 nominations" (I don't remember exactly)
How can I refresh the awards field?
Thanks a lot for all your effort

Sorry, I found it. Just delete simplecache.db to rebuild it or edit to change just the values related with those few films

I have a new install of Matrix 19.3 from the Play Store on an nVidia Shield Pro with only TBM added as per the link on this thread.
There has been no messing about with widget settings or other addons.
Leia was installed, but I deleted cache, uninstalled and rebooted box before installing Matrix.
Any good remedy suggestions anyone?

Got same problem on my set up. Must be an issue with the addon itself

Any update on this? Similar setup on my nVidia Shield Pro, Matrix 19.3 and fresh installs and still see a lot of errors from Skin Helper Service and it’s Widgets. Thanks!
tldr; nothings happening.

As Matke responded, it’s being reported as an error from ‘arrow’ (which is a dependency of a dependency of this skin), so the guys working on this skin are unlikely to do anything about it. The guys working on ‘arrow’ are unlikely to fix it either, because it’s not really their bug - more an ‘undocumented feature’ of the structure of Kodi and python, and probs just what happens when you have lots of different datetime libraries providing similar features with global functions and variables with similar names and different attributes… some coders will stick with the library they know, some will import a newer one coz newer is always better of course, and when you throw global functions into the mix you really have to know your stuff to ensure things are being instantiated appropriately - for mortals it becomes an unholy mess to be steered clear of…
The base issue has been open on Kodi for over 2 years now (https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/17311) with no fix in sight.
The only resolution from other developers seems to have been to stop using arrow.

The library view are switched like this.. Hit left until the side menu opens up... Then Lock your view.

Hey again!

Just came back to ask a quick question. I'm wanting to slightly changed the ui size of the "fancy" up next addon. How easy for a nub is this to do? I like yours but it just takes up slightly more of the screen than I preferred.
That's actually maintained by someone else.
is it possible to add a function that when we exit the playing video it will remain on? As with PVR? It's quite annoying to turn on the video again when I want to look at something, for example in the menu
@Borec1

I think matke got rid of that option awhile back.

Send me your includesskinsetting.xml and I'll fix it for you.

This option had a lot of problems, so I turned it off but will be restored with a new update. Fixed of course. Smile
Not a big deal since I have only seen it with this one movie. But the Title gets cut. Looks like it is due to the Size of the title.

It will be sorted out with a new update.
More precisely, it has already been fixed, but the update it's not ready yet.
Cool can't wait.
Does anyone know if there is a screensaver that looks like Netflix (Show/Movie Background, Netflix logo in bottom right and Title in bottom left) that cycles through random movies and shows.
