Hey All,

I have been trying to figure out how to have Kodi autoplay a picture folder on startup. I found the code to do it in another thread. I just dont know where to put that code and see no reference to it. I believe it has to do with autoexec.py but have only found limited info about it. Anything would be helpful and appreciated thanks.
It goes in the Userdata (wiki) folder...

I dont have that file. Is it something I have to download? Or activate within Kodi?
The autoexec.py file does not exist. You have to create it. It is just a text document which uses the .py extension.

Create it and copy your code into it, then restart Kodi to test if it works.

If it does not work, post your code here and someone might be able to spot the problem.
Oh ok. Thanks! I realized I mispoke....or typed lol I meant to not only auto open into a picture folder. I know how to do that. I want it to auto slideshow. I believe the code I have will do that. I just wanted to clarify so there's no confusion
I made a post previously detailing how to do this here https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2934894

Ya. I saw it previously. I just didn't understand you had to create a text doc, enter the info, then change file type. Thought it was a file already there you had to edit or something. I just tested it and it works PERFECTLY! Thank you SOOOOOO much. I have so many ideas with this new code Smile
Thread marked solved.
