Not sure how or where to post this issue and am ignorant on the subject, but will start here.
There are several streams that will not play for me in Kodi 18.8/Windows 7 but will play in Perfect Player IPTV on Android. Some of them did however need the decoder to be changed to Native or HW+
For instance, the publicly available NASA channels will not play for me on Kodi but will with Perfect Player IPTV on Android on a smartphone. Obviously I want to use Kodi.
That is the full extent of my knowledge, can anyone put me on the right track if that is fixable in Kodi.
If you have a test stream I can access from Ireland I can try and take a look.
From a recent issue with pvr.nextpvr I found those streams had many layers of playlist calling a playlist, not sure how many inputstream allows but I think those are 4 deep.

I have two other open streams below that are likely geolocked to Canada that won't play in Kodi but will in Perfect Player. I think, thus far, I've learned IPTV Simple Client won't play streams that don't end in m3u8? If so, is there a solution or a way to convert the streams to m3u8 or make them able to open in IPTV Simple Client.

Do you have inputstream adaptive installed for mpd playlists? I use Matrix and they play for me

I have InputStream adaptive installed, how do I know if it is for mpd playlists. I am using 18.8

So if I am interpreting this correctly, to fix the issue I have to install software that is in an alpha state and does not fully support many addons as of yet?
No you aren't interpreting what I have posted correctly. Setting up a test here in Canada on Matrix was easy so I thought that might be useful for you to know. The version you want to use is your choice. If you want support you simply need to provide the appropriate information according to the forum rules

Thanks, that's all I needed to know.
By following
this post (instructions below) I was able to regain some streams that once worked and then stopped (streams are below). Not sure if they stopped working when I upgraded to 18.8 or not.
