Kodi Community Forum - Kodi with AV Receiver and LG TV over HDMI

Hi all,

I am using Kodi on Win10 with a Yamaha RX-V485 receiver and a LGC97LA TV. In general, it works, if I configure kodi to use passthrough and WASAPI. The problem I have in 99% of the cases, if the Media-pc boots, Kodi detects only the LG TV in the AUDIO settings and not the AV Reciver.
The Receiver is even not present and can´t be choosen.

What can I do to make sure Kodi detects always the AVR?

Might be the priorities, ensure your AVR & TV are switched on before you launch Kodi so that proper handshaking can be established through all devices.
