Kodi Community Forum

Hi all, my first post.
I actually record tv programs when I'm not at home using a PC running windows 10 and an AVerMedia A867 USB DVB-T TV tuner card with USB interface, without problems.
I would like to use a Raspberry pi 4 instead.
Is the above tuner card supported by kodi?
I don't undestand how to configure the system.

Kodi doesn't usually deal directly with tuners etc - it's just a front-end that can be used.

You'd need to put a backend PVR (wiki) solution such as TVHeadend in there and have that act as a middle-man between the tuner and Kodi. And where you run that, and whether it would be able to work with that particular tuner would depend on the device platform used, and would be outside of Kodi.

For example it's perfectly possible to run a TVH server backend on a Pi4 using either LibreElec or OSMC (I think on the latter, certainly on the former as I do it myself).
