Ok, I found the difference
if a select video (left panel)/ files / right click on source and modify  , it's ok   (rescan with flip flop films/none)
if i select parameters/medias/videos ....   it's NOT ok. (even if screen are the same)

The scraper was recently updated with new language codes as required by TheMovieDB. As the old codes are no longer compatible, the scraper needs to be reset and old settings cleared out of the database.

1. Exit Kodi
2. Go to C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\addon_data and delete the metadata.themoviedb.org folder if one is there.
3. Start Kodi and go to your source and change scrapers. Any scraper is fine and save the selection and answer No when asked to update the library
4. Go back and change the scraper again back to TheMovieDB then on that same page select Settings and adjust your settings as required. Make sure you select fr-FR for the language.

Do this for both UMS and TheMovieDB Scrapers

This may affect other languages also

Hi there,

I'm new on this forum, and have the exact same problem. Expect I'm kind of a noob regarding Kodi, can you please explain with a little more details theses stpes?

Many thaaaaanks Wink
Hello @FAUVEisEditing

I thought the steps are pretty clear and self-explanatory. Sorry, I don't know how to explain the steps further without making a video production, which I don't intend to do.

Maybe others members can reword the instructions for you, or maybe you can explain what it is you do not understand.
[*]The above paths are based on Windows. For all other platforms see Userdata (wiki) for the correct path.
[*]The language code needs to be 4 characters. If your selected language is still 2 characters, this change will not work for you. Please report it in this thread.

up to the point that I can't upload any logs (probably due to the size because of the above messages).

I'm on RPi. My TMDB for Movies version is 5.2.6 and my TMDB tv show version is 3.5.12. Both of them only have 2 letters for language code like you mentioned. What can I do to fix this?

Follow the instructions that are in the post you quoted from.

You mentioned to report if I only have 2 letter language code and the instruction won't work for this.

Follow the instructions that are in the post you quoted from.

I only see "en" for preferred language. I did see "us" for preferred certification country. But they are 2 different settings.

The other question I have is how does TMDB different than TMDB-Python Movie Scrapers? Do I need to have both? I'm on Kodi 18.9.

What language do you want?

No you don't. I suggest you to change to TMDB-Python as it does not have the 2 letter issue.

I tried that but I cant uninstall or even disable TMDB.

You are not supposed to uninstall or disable scrapers. They don't work like that.

Just install the new scraper by pressing the Get more button. Then set the scraper for your Source.

Got it! I installed TMDB Phyton for movies and TV Maze for shows. Changed the scraper setting in my library to the new addons. I assume those TMDB errors won't come back now that I changed the active scraper.

Thank you!

Great!. Nope should be no more language errors with the new scraper.

But just be aware that changing the scraper does not affect what is already in your library. It only affects new items you scrape into your library.

If you need to fix some bad scrapes, then delete them from your library and rescrape them, or press the Refresh button on the Information Page for the movie/tv show
I fought with this Problem Since day 1 of matrix...

and now you have solved it?
I was happy to finally found the solution here I thought, but tried it 1:1. No changes. Tmdb scraper for movies works perfect. Tmdb foam for tvshows doesn't. Since release of matrix, that's crazy.

When I use tvdb I get no ratings ans with tmdb maaany posters fail ro DL. I have every api that could help installed.

I could add the data via metadata editor addon, but I so not want to use oder support tvdb.

I just don't get I that it's still not solved :O

... never the less, I know that fixing bugs doesn't work like in hogwarts. Hope it will be fixed in nexus.
