To start with i bought a 4K TV a few months ago so as u do i have gone nuts getting 4K video files all has been good so far.
Then the other day i tried to play a new 4K video & kodi just crashed every time so i fired up MKVToolNix to have a look at the video files & i found the video files had Global tags added to them so i used MKVToolNix to remove the Global tags from the video files & all is good now

So i hope this tip helps others with this problem.
