Kodi Community Forum

So I'm trying to use Kodi with a controller, it's works great after I set up the buttons and such but as soon as I exit Kodi and go back in I have to set it up again. I want to use the controller as the default control but I can't figure out how to save it, or set it so I don't have to do it every time. Surely I must be missing something, any help would be greatly appreciated.
