Hi!

All of a sudden, I can't play anything from Recordings section. I hit play, it tries, but it doesn't play (no error message). I can erase, but I can't play.

*I've changed my actual smb credentials with blablabla:blablabla

As you can see, there's an "Invalid argument" error when trying to play smb share... which I can't understand, because if I manually mount remote recording folder in video section, I can access and from there play the file with no issues...

Any idea?

Ok. I think I found what's happening.

I don't know why or what I did, but my nVidia Shield Pro (Android) doesn't like that mediaportal pvr client wants to connect to my tv server recordings share using uppercase for the server name... . I tried to add my recordings folder smb share to video section in uppercase, and I got same error "invalid argument". I always added it to my video section using server ip or lowercase name and that's why I could add it and play recordings from there with no problem.

Now the question is... How can I change that in TvServerKodi plugin, in server side? My shares are shown there... but I can't edit server name to lowercase... I've tried to find some .xml config file or so... but nothing.

Again... anyone knows?

And again me... I got it working!!!

I figured out that smb server share name built by TVServerKodi plugin had into account Windows NetBIOS name... The bad thing is that using windows settings there's no way to put it lowercase... But here comes our friend regedit, as always, to help us. I just had to change it in:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ComputerName\ComputerName

What I don't understand is why it was working only few months ago... I didn't change anything.
