Does it give you the hd quality in the quality select dialog and then not work, or just doesn't show the option?
I have the NVIDIA Shield TV, I believe it is an L1 Secure device... but not sure how to check that.

I don't see anything labeled L1 Secure device in the addon settings, and I have the quality set to autoplay the best, but even when I turn that to list, I'm not sure which ones is HD, but I don't see anything that explicitly states HD.
since my latest updates, it automatically detects L1 device.
Shield is L1 so you will get the full qualities.
Make sure you have H265 enabled in the add-on settings.

The quality select shows resolution and bandwidth.
HD is just a "generic label" for content above a certain quality.
you can read about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-definition_video

But don't get "hung up" on labels.
If the picture looks good - don't worry about!
just pushed 0.4.7

  • Skip Credits (default = on)
When enabled will skip the end credits
  • HBO Max Sync Playback (default = off)
When enabled will allow resuming and sending of playback positions with HBO Max
It will also enable the "Continue Watching" menu item
When this is off - it will just use local resume points stored in the kodi db

Also, the other day my slyguy common was updated to now automatically detect the Widevine level.
So there is no need to enable Widevine Secure device in the settings anymore.
It will automatically know what widevine level your device is

repo is here: https://k.slyguy.xyz/repository.slyguy.zip
If you can't download that, I suspect your ISP is blocking it
if thats the case, you'll need to login to your isp and turn off whatever filtering service they have

I’m running into an error when I try to navigate around the add-on. Yesterday, I was able to watch shows. However, today I’m running into an unexpected error when I try to even view content under series or movies: keyerror-express content.

I update to the latest Slyguy common package and I’m still running into this error.
debug log please.

Ill look into it

Thank you!!

I tried reinstalling it and I’m now getting a server error: it’s time to update your HBO max app to the get the latest features message when I try to log in. I suspect that it’s related to this issue but still wanted to pass that along just in case

Hi.
Since the last update I'm not getting the subtittles. I tried all languages and nothing is displayed.
Uninstalled, reinstalled and nothing seems to works. All the video and audio options are working fine, but the subtitles are not showing anymore.

I'm adding the full debug log down here.

Thanks.
Hbo changed to embedded subs which don't seem supported by inputstream adaptive. I'll need to see if there is a workaround

You can follow progress here

Ignore Subtitles feature is also broken. This causes external subtitles to not work properly either.
ignore subtitles hasn't been touched...

Its just that now they are embeded by HBO in the manifest.
That setting stopped them being added, but now they are already included.

so maybe the internal broken subs are overwriting your external subs?
Kodi should still show both (internal and external)

I'll see if I can get the proxy to remove the embedded subs from the manifest.

UPDATE:
Just pushed 0.5.6
This replaces the ignore subs setting with a "Subtitle Whitelist" setting (same as Disney+)
This is a comma separated list of languages of subtitles you want to keep. eg. en,de
If you want none, then just set it to something that won't match any languages. eg. none
The proxy then will strip out the embedded subtitle tracks that don't match (all)
