I have a show that is present on TheTVDB (id:
390284). However, when I add this show, the entry has artwork but afterwards another window pops up asking me to choose the poster and none is present. In TVDB there is a poster available and the error log only displays the following:

Any idea what happens here?
Plus, one tiny additional question: How can I update the metadata from TVDB? Sometimes I add an episode on TVDB myself, how to update the data TMM gets with this info? Or does it take some time until the actual data is visible to the API?

i got in this forum due I am also facing problems that artwork which is manually available on theTVDB.com is not found by automatic-scrapping in TMM 4.0.6.
I am using the scrapping tools everywhere set to DE and fallback option EN.
For any reasons for some series no Banner and Fanart is scrapped even that a EN or/and DE one is available in TVDB.
examples are the following series:
- "Nesthäkchen" - no Banner no fanart in TMM
- Speedy Gonzales - no Banner in TMM
...more
If you need any more information to analyse this i will support you with whatever is needed

Update: I received a response from thetvdb support: "
Issues specific to a platform should be reported on that platform's support channel(s). If their developers determine it's a bug with our API or data, they can report it to us directly and we'll resolve it."
Does that mean that only @
mlaggner can report the issue? I sent them an example with a direct call to the API and that the API returned no poster, so they should have noticed that it's their side that's faulty.
I created a ticket too - maybe they respond differently to me
Just got a response here.. since that show is German, the poster is classified as "German". At tmm we do not filter our query because we want to offer the user all posters in the image chooser, but tvdb API is returning nothing here. Looks like a bug/misunderstanding at their end. I will keep track of that and try to explain that to the TVDB staff
to fix that locally, you need to set the artwork language to German just for this show..
