Full Version: Need Help With Default PVR Genre Colours

Just been looking at the .png files for the default PVR genre colours and noticed that of the 17 files contained in the Estuary skin, 5 of these files all seem to be the same colour as the default 0.png genre colour (light grey). The specific genres that all seem to be the same light grey colour are 192, 208, 224, 240, 256.
Can anybody explain why so many genres share this same colour? Is there a list anywhere I can refer too that would tell me what genre each of these numbered files is supposed to represent?
I'm also guessing this is maybe why so many PVR items get highlighted as light grey when using these default genres in Kodi?
I think the main reason for the same colour is only the 10 DVB colours in the DVB table 29 https://www.etsi.org/deliver/etsi_en/300...11601p.pdf are used, and there is no way to map the user defined categories.  Most shows of interest to me are in category #1 anyway.

In NextPVR uses do have the option of mapping any category to colours 1-11 but you'd need to use Matrix so the genre names are not mapped to their DVB group.  Using backend genre text means you lose internationalization too.

If you're using IPTV simple; look here: https://github.com/kodi-pvr/pvr.iptvsimple#genres
Thanks guys.
I changed the search criteria slightly and came across this old post which seems to indicate what genre each of the default numbered files actually represent (Unless things have changed since this was posted):-

This seems to give me the info I was looking for.
Thanks
