on my android box suddenly the kodi has no audio it was working perfectly the day before, under settings I can see Audio output device greyed out. Others apps like vlc or youtube works perfectly on the android box with audio, it's just kodi

The audio device looks fine, but it doesn't look like you tried to play anything.

Maybe the play anything is related to EmbyCon, library is grabbed from Emby server?
You can see from the images is like Kodi is on a mute mode? Not even the GUI sounds are playing

Yeah you've got it muted, F8 is the mute key, you must've inadvertently pressed it somehow! Either that or you turned the Volume right down using Volume keys.

audio is fine, I have no keyboard to press f8 and device is not muted, everything else plays audio

The device is not muted, but the Kodi App is. That's the mute icon in Kodi, Embuary skin by the look of it. Somehow you have muted Kodi, I don't know how. I assume you tried pressing the mute button on your remote.

ok, plugged a keyboard, F8 does nothing with embuary skin, switched to default skin > F8 and sound is back
