I have some old content where the audio track is reported as follows by ffmpeg:
Stream #0:1: Audio: pcm_s32le, 48000 Hz, mono, s32, 1536 kb/s (default)
I've been unable to get it to play on Kodi (usingĀ 2:18.9+git20201027.1804-final-0groovy from Ubuntu Groovy).
I've tried enabling and disabling audio pass-through but it makes no difference -- audio track is always silent.
When I enable on-screen player information, kodi reports the following for audio:
FC-ff-pcm_s32le, 32 bits, 48,000
But no sound.
Do I need to force transcoding to get this audio to play? If so, how do I do that? Or do I need to convert the original content it will be playable?
