Kodi Community Forum

I've connected my qnap-nas via smb to my smart tv. 
But somehow I can't play certain videofiles with kodi. It's always .avi-files that are just loading and loading but never play. 
Strangely some .avi-files do play and it's all good, but others won't and it's quite annoying!

Does anyone else have this problem? And more importantly does anyone know how to fix it?
Currently working with Kodi v19 Matrix.

If some AVI play and some do not, it seems more likely that the issue is with the AVI files.  Maybe the the problem ones are packed bitstream.  Not all devices like it.  Use an info tool like MediaInfo to compare good and bad files -- it will actually say if the file is a packed bitstream.

If that random guess doesn't work, post a Debug log where you reproduced the issue.  That will enable others to be able to start from somewhere.
