I'm not sure if anyone can answer this as this would apply to only 1 movie that I know of that does this: the new remastered 4k release of Batman v Superman, switches between standard widescreen 2.39:1 and the 4:3 aspect ratio of 1.43:1.
What I ultimately am curious about is, if I set my Kodi to play 4:3 videos zoomed in so I don't have pillar box bars on the sides, will it zoom in during the 4:3 scenes and switch back to normal when it switches back to widescreen?
I'm inclined to think no, and that Kodi will only recognize one of the aspect ratios.
I wish I could test this myself but copies of this blu ray are nowhere to be found for now.
