I have a Sony HTZF9 soundbar with the additonal rear speakers and just don't feel I'm getting what I should from them.
The soundbar will display Atmos when playing it back but I never feel like there is much coming from the rear speakers and the same for 5.1 DD+. However when I play a 2 channel file and the soundbar displays lpcm I get much more of a surround effect. I understand the soundbar does some of its own magic on the 2 channel stuff but I don't understand why that it's sounding better than an Atmos track.
Speaker config is set as 7.1 with passthrough enabled.
