I am running with ubuntu 21.04 (new upgrade)
log:                   https://pastebin.com/ru8mSJew
Kodi crash log:   https://pastebin.com/jZgLWpz7
Graphics:           GeForce GT 440/PCIe/SSE2

I installed with the directions I found in https://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Install_Kodi_for_Linux

After installation I tried to run it and nothing appeared.   I then watched my system monitor.  When it started I got an entry for Kodi and another for Kodi.bin   After a minute or so the Kodi.bin changed to just plain Kodi.    After that both Kodys just went away! (Kodi quit)    I didn't touch any keys, it just went away.

Thoughts?
SQL: [Addons33.db] SQLite error SQLITE_ERROR (no such table: version)

Apparently creating the Addons database file had a problem. Try deleting it and restart Kodi again.
If Kodi fails again, then it may be an Ubuntu 21.04 issue.

BTW, your signature is a bit outdated.
Thanks for the reply.

I tried deleting addons and found them in about 3 places. I got rid of all of them. Didn't help. I then tried deleting kodi with strange results (it could not delete a file that was there so I did)  Finally I searched for all kodi's in home and deleted the whole bunch of them (there were a lot). I should have mentioned that I had a previous kodi on this system but it went bad when I updated my system. Anyway, I am now going to reinstall kodi. I can install as I had previously, I also see where ubuntu software has a kodi to install too. which one should I use? I could also go to synaptic but have no idea of the files there that I should install with synaptic so I will leave that one alone. I also have the ppa stuff that I install the last time around so I will leave them and not delete and re-install those although I am temped to delete and replace those two too. I can't send you the logs because I erased them too (didn't mean to but .......)

So, I am sitting here with a clean machine now and would appreciate your thoughts.

For Ubuntu distros, always use the Kodi PPA. Installing is straight forward, see the Kodi wiki page on Linus installations.
