Full Version: Slow Startup and Keyboard Issues

Sometime in the last month or two KODI began taking a long time to bootup, like 60 seconds.  It used to boot in like 5-10 seconds.  Is this a known issue?  I'm using windows 10 build 19043.1165

Also, my keyboard is not responsive in KODI.  Not every time, but randomly maybe 1 in 4 times.  The only fix is to reboot my computer.  This is obviously annoying and I'm at a loss to why it would only do this sporatically.

Any insight into these issues is greatly appreciated.

Cheers.
Slow boot ups, can be from corrupt library listing, networking, or some process in the background that is sapping the CPU for cycles. UN-responsive keyboard is indicative of background processing bringing your set-up to a crawl. Turn off library scanning on start, see if that improves the performance, if you want to go further, submit a debug log as noted below.

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

The instructions are here... debug log (wiki)

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.

Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs
Do NOT post your logs directly into the forum. Use the Kodi Paste Site. Post the link to your pasted log in the forum
