Hi,
I've a stupid question about the behavior when you click the movie button.
I've 2 kodi app installed on TV SHIELD and TV SHIELD PRO, when I click movie on the TV SHIELD i enter in a second menu with Title, Genre, Actor, year, etc.. and then I have to click Title in order to view the film ordered by title
When I click movie on TV SHIELD PRO I enter directly in the list of film ordered by title.
Why I have 2 different behavior? what I have to do in order to have the same behavior?
Kind regards,
Luigi
Do you have menu widgets disabled on the non-pro Shield?
I think you mean the Category widget.
To be clear, this need to be Enabled
AFAICT he's not talking about the widgets
. He's talking about seeing this menu before being able to enter the movie listing:
I would suggest to enter the "title" section and then use the "back" button on your remote to get to the home-screen again. Selecting "movies" from the home-menu should then directly point to the movie listing once you exited from there to the homescreen. At least that's what I can reproduce here

DaVu look at the code for the Movie button on the Home menu, if Category widget is enabled it goes straight to contents of Movies Titles node, if Category widget is disabled then to goes to list of nodes.

Please test the following:
1. Enter the movie section (so you see the list of movies)
2. Go back using the
..
. Then you should see the menu I mentioned above
3. Hit "ESC" on your keyboard or "back" on your remote and you should end up at the Kodi home screen
4. Hit "Movies" from the home screen and you should again see the menu I mentioned above.
I can 100% reproduce that here no matter if I have enabled the category widgets or not
If I do the following:
1. Enter the movie section (to see the list of movies)
2. Press "ESC" on my keyboard or "back" on my remote, I'll end up at the Kodi Home-screen
3. Hitting "Movies" again, I'll end up at the movie list again
So, this means, if I leave the movie list using ".." I'll end up at the menu mentioned above. From there, if I hit ESC or "back" to get to the Kodi home screen, I'm not able to enter the movie section anymore directly until I selected "Titles" from that menu and then used "ESC" or "back" to get to the home screen. So it all depends on how you leave the movie listing.
At least, that's what I can reproduce. If you are interested I can make a video of that.
