Just downloaded the 19.2, Windows 10, upgraded from 18.8.  Kodi wont start, in the Task manager-details, the process just shows up for a second and then dissapears.

The Event Viewer has this event:

Faulting application name: Kodi.exe, version: 19.1.0.0, time stamp: 0x615d6dbe
Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 10.0.19041.1202, time stamp: 0xc9db1934

And although I just installed 19.2 and the setup file clearly says 19.2, this error refers to 19.1. (?)

Ok, kodi.exe has 19.1.0.0 as "File version", and 19.2 as "Product version".

But still, it just crashes right away.

So, something about SQLITE error, this is just after running setup twice.

So, what's my next move?

For starters, do not post log files directly into the forum. We prefer pastebin websites to keep our forum server ©lean, as indicated via the bold red letters above the Post Reply button.

Try simply deleting the Addons33.db file in the userdata/Database folder, and restart Kodi. Perhaps an upgrade of some sort went wrong.

Ok, sorry for the log files.

There is no Addons33.db file, nor Database folder, the only content of the "userdata" directory is a RssFeeds.xml file and a directory named iOS.  (still on win10)

I started it in the debugger with symbols, and this is the stack trace:
https://paste.kodi.tv/apayehayoj

It crashes on this line:
kodi.exe!dbiplus::SqliteDataset::query(const std:Confusedtring & query) Line 821
    at f:\builds\workspace\win-64\xbmc\dbwrappers\sqlitedataset.cpp(821)

This is the problem function:
https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/blob/master...ataset.cpp

819 sqlite3_stmt *stmt = NULL;
820 if (db->setErr(sqlite3_prepare_v2(handle(),query.c_str(),-1,&stmt, NULL),query.c_str()) != SQLITE_OK)
821 throw DbErrors("%s", db->getErrorMsg());
I got the same error when trying to upgrade from Kodi 18.8 to 19.3.

I went to the AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata\Database folder, and found an "addons27.db" file.  I renamed it to "addons33.db," started Kodi 19.3 and the migration process started!  Once it was done, I had to renumber "MyMusic" and "MyVideos" as well.
I also just ran into this issue when trying to upgrade to 19.3. In my case I found out that addon33.db was 0 bytes in size so I deleted the file. After that I could launch Kodi without it crashing in a split second and instead the addon migration screen came up and after waiting some minutes it went on to work fine.
Thread marked solved.
Same after upgrading to 19.4 … not sure why the thread is marked as solved, cause it seems the issue/bug still exists Sad

Deleting/renaming Addons33.db do not solve the issue Sad - file will be recreated with a somehow smaller size
Wrong directory Wink file is within userdata/profiles/user/…

Don't think there is a bug, original op issue has since been handled. If you have an issue, please create your own post with a proper debug log of the issue and indicate the problem.
