I have a smartipi touch screen 2 and tried to put Kodi on it but it wouldn't work.
So, on a Smartipi the Kodi won't work on one because of the flat ribbon cable but it will with a HDMI cable connection
You still haven't told us what sort of Pi you have and which distribution you are using.
Assuming you want help (which you have not said!!) you will need to give people a lot more information.

Yes. But Kodi is only a single application. It needs an operating system to work on.
For a RPi4, there is Raspbian, Xbian, Ubuntu, LibreELEC, OSMC, DietPi and probably many others I never knew.
