Hello everyone.

I have an Xbox One S connected to a 27 inch monitor which at 1080p resolution supports 50Hz, 59.94Hz and 60Hz refresh rates.
The xbox dashboard works fine at 60Hz and 50Hz while the Kodi app only works at 59.94Hz or 50Hz.
In short words the 60Hz refresh rate option is missing.

Do you have any ideas on how to fix the problem?

I was able to take a screenshot and as you can see the 60Hz option is missing.
The 120Hz option is visible because I activated the override on HDMI, to be sure that the refresh rate of the Xbox One S was actually 60Hz.
However that frequency (120Hz) is not supported so ignore it.
If I hadn't activated the override on HDMI I would still have only displayed 2 options: 50Hz and 59.94Hz.

Problem? You mean you can actually see the difference between 59.94hz and 60.00hz on your monitor?
I'm no Xbox expert, but Kodi only uses what the Xbox OS is providing as possible refresh rates.

60Hz is hardly ever exactly 60Hz. This is what my laptop screen reports:
INFO <general>: ID:0x49 Name:1920x1080 Refresh:120.015503 Width:1920 Height:1080
INFO <general>: ID:0x4a Name:1920x1080 Refresh:119.936989 Width:1920 Height:1080

INFO <general>: ID:0x4c Name:1920x1080 Refresh:59.933880 Width:1920 Height:1080

Which refresh rates are reported in your kodi.log file?

I can also add that there is no 24Hz switching , so when the movie is 24Hz kodi stays at the GUI resolution and refresh rate , also the 24Hz doesnt show up as an available resolution to white list.
In summery kodi doesnt see the 24Hz as an available resolution , as a result it cant switch to it nor choose it in the white list resolutions despite that i enabled it in system settings of the xbox.

Edit: The 23.976 Hz switching works fine though and while this is the most used refresh rate , there are still many 24Hz movies out there.

Yes, but the GUI resolution is 59.94Hz while it should be 60Hz.
23.976Hz movies can play fine at 59.94Hz (2.5x) as well as 24Hz at 60Hz (2.5x).
Therefore is not a problem if my monitor can't run at 23.976Hz or 24Hz.

I installed Kodi on a Windows PC and it shows many resolutions at 1080p: (full log here)

To my understanding 2.5x is not a perfect synch,  3x is , to that end the nearest refresh rate that cab do 24hz is 120hz which is 5x
in any case my problem is not the refreshrate not switching but the resolution also doesn't switch which means in the case of a 1080p 24Hz movie displayed on a 4k display
That it will be scaled by kodi to 4k but i want the tv to do the scaling and this will only happen if the display switched to 1080p which doesn't happen in this case.

Is there a way to switch only the resolution (without switching the refresh rate as well) depending on the content ? this can serve as temp workaround until the 24hz is fixed.
