Hi,
Just moved from Leia and have setup 19.3 from scratch. I have tried disabling various addons but not found anything specific, nor see anything in the logs. I have dmp files that KODI generates; can someone look at those and gather anything?
thx
To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.
The instructions are here...
debug log (wiki)
If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.
Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.
Restart Kodi
3.
Replicate the problem.
4.
Upload the log to
Kodi Paste Site manually or use the
Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.
If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the
advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)
In both instances, you should see the word
DEBUG throughout the log.
Note: Full logs only. No partial or redacted logs
Do NOT post your logs directly into the forum. Use the Kodi Paste Site. Post the link to your pasted log in the forum
It's not possible to post a debug log because of the size of the log; paste.kodi.tv errors when it is that big. The log file is about 11MB.
The crash does not happen from a specific action, but is the result of KODI running for a period of time. For example, I can start KODI and leave it running, sitting idle, and it will crash after 1-2 hours. Same behavior if playing videos or using it normally.
Any other way to pass the log file?

Cut it up in pieces. If there are large sections of repeated log entries you can minimize those.
UPDATE: So KODI has been running pretty much all day, just sitting idle. Normally it would have crashed already. The IPTV Manager was disabled; so maybe this add-on is the cause of the crash. Can you confirm from the logs if that looks possible?
thanks
Any speculation as to cause? It seems to be related to the IPTV Manager add-on, particularly when it refreshes the guide. There seems to be no other workaround than disabling it, but then no updated EPG.
