So i just downloaded Kodi and for some reason the last letter of every word has these lines or dots running through it. I remember two or so years ago when i used Kodi it didnt have this.
If this is a little thing they purposefully did because the new iteration is called "matrix" then i have to say its incredibly stupid. It looks scuffed and is especially annoying when it does it with numbers.

Yeah, we put all sorts of easter eggs in every version...
Get us a
debug log (wiki) via a pastebin site, so we can see what actually in your Kodi setup. I'm guessing it has an AMD graphics card.

Well i guess at least its not on my end. Its still stupid, if it wasnt called "matrix" i wouldnt have made the connection. It just looks like something is wrong.
Yes i have an amd graphics card, why does that matter?
And yes the threads you linked are exactly the issue im having.

No, of course the "weird" letters are not by design, I was being a little sarcastic. Easter eggs are not there to break stuff.
It's more like a driver issue combined with certain settings as outlined in the posts I linked.
To be clear, whilst there may be at least one Easter egg hidden in Matrix, this isn't one of them.
This is an issue, most likely relating to the graphics driver.
