Kodi Community Forum

Hi All,

I am a relatively new user to Kodi and i am having some issues of late that i am hoping someone could help with.
Every now and then when i start kodi i will get a black half screen before kodi shuts down completely, when i click again on Kodi it does the same thing and closes automatically.

When this happens there is nothing i can do to start the application, i have to uninstall Kodi (including my profile), reinstall and start again.

Things might work well for a day or so, then i go to start and Bang it happens again. I am reinstalling Kodi and all of my Addons what feels like every second day.

Does anyone have any advise on what it could be? its rather frustrating and i do not know enough about Kodi or windows 10 to self diagnose.

Appreciate anyones help with this one.

To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log.

If you are using the Basic Method, then ensure the following is applied...
1.Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging,
2.Restart Kodi
3.Replicate the problem.
4.Upload the log to Kodi Paste Site manually or use the Kodi Logfile Uploader. (wiki) With either method post the link to the log back here.

If you are using the Advanced Method ensure you have correctly created and applied the advancedsettings.xml file (wiki)

In both instances, you should see the word DEBUG throughout the log.
