Full Version: Passthrough audio: loud cracks on pause/resume or format change

I recently installed Kodi and followed the guide to set up audio passthrough. In principle it works, but when I pause/resume a movie or when the audio format changes (advertisements), I hear a loud crack on resume. It only happens with Dolby but not with dts. I'm running Kodi 19.3 on ubuntu 20.04.4 and my AVR is a Pioneer VSX-S520. Mobo is Fujitsu D3417-B2 and CPU i3-7100.

What can cause this and what can I do?
