Hi,
Im trying to set up an interface at work where we have an collection of youtube movies that we want to show to our visitors.

We need an simple interface that the user can choose between several movies that we have on our youtube account, preferably using only two or three keys/buttons.

Is it possible? I don´t have much experience of KODI, everything is new to me. So I am just asking if someone has done something similar or has any ideas?
This can be set-up in the interface to have only one option, then specify the source of the containing folder/files. Kiosk mode will also further tighten down the interface & choices. If you get a little more comfortable with the program, what you want can be accomplished in many different ways. The ultimate set-up would be a custom skin with auto choices in a continuous queue, but that explanation would be best handled after you have a good working knowledge of the program. Feel free to enjoy the wiki's as your online guide to everything Kodi (link at the top left of this page).
There used to be an addon that worked with the video plugin for youtube and would create a tv show in your local library with episodes from a nominated youtube channel or playlist (which became the tv show title), but it wasn't maintained.

I think an alternative is to use the youtube plugin and select your channel or playlist and then make it a favourite.  Then customize the home window to only allow that favourite to be displayed.

Thanks for the replies, to be more specific we hava like an show/exhibition room for different assistive technology or aid tools for people with diferent disabilities. So at every monter we have a pc-screen and two buttons beneath it as you can se at the pic. Image
Right now we have and costom made skin that one programer did several yers ago that is like showing up to 6 selectable folders. And by pressing one of  two buttons (play-green) you can enter the folder that is marked or with the other button(next-red) move to the next folder/movie. And wehen you come inside a folder there are movies that you can chose with the play button and then it starts to play. And by pressing the next-button you close the movie and get back to main screen.
And this program that he made is geting data from our youtube chanel and specific playlist for each monter.
But lately we have been having problems with the movies lagging during play. So we tried to figure it out but it seems like it's some pluggin that he uses to stream videos by VLC that has changed or something that youtube has changed in their algorithm. The programer is no longer working at the company so we cant get in contact with him. So we thought that its maybe best to do something new that we can have more controll of and know how its made.
So it's not necessary to sream videos from our youtube chanel, we can have them local on the pc. We just need to finde a good and easy skin or addon to handle skin that we can control with only two buttons like we are doing now.

In this image is four panes, of a quick set-up using Estouchy a default touch screen skin (included in sys prefs) with most of the interface prefs turned off and a start up from the 'Video' page.  In other words, when you start Kodi, you will see image 'A' make subsequent choices will bring you to page 'B' and this contains whatever videos (as the direct source folder, node, playist etc). C is what Kodi calls the home page, and shows directly video links and a button for more video sources. D is showing an extra button for favourites which you specify (these can be just a folder, or individual videos etc as marked favourite with the context menu). As far as navigation is concerned, a touch screen, mouse or some remote device set-up (keyboard / joystick) or the buttons you have would have to be mapped to accommodate. Kiosk mode after you've set-up will ensure tampering by accident is locked.

The above description is fairly simple to set-up, should meet some of your needs but the implementation of navigation will take some trial & error.

Thank you so much for taking time to show and answer. I will check it out. It seams like somethnig we are looking for. Smile
I should have mentioned that you can custom pick the posters/covers/images/backgrounds for your videos/folders if you supply the jpegs in the format suggested here Artwork (wiki) e.g. to match the images in your interface.
