Sounds weird.
Which skin are you using on Android?
What version Kodi?
Can you provide a screenshot of one of your movie folders so we can clearly see the contents- video files, artwork and anything else.

Finally sorted, tried everything and in the end deleted kodi and rebuilt my build.
My only guess is just a corrupt file somewhere, anyway working now. Thanks for trying to help.

I've split your posts as it was not really skin related.
Haven't replaced the images yet, but will today or tomorrow. Thanks

Thanks for your help
I have used Kodi/XBMC for over a decade, but never knew about clearlogos. For whatever reason, I must have flipped some setting unknowingly, but they started showing up for new movies and shows in my library. They look awesome!

The problem is, I can't figure out how to get them to show up for items that were already scraped into my library before whatever change I made.

Is there any way to retroactively scrape the clearlogos into my library?

No. You will need to rescrape the movies/tv shows.
Do you use the scrapers or are you using nfo files?

Also, the artwork types you see here, Kodi can use if the skin has been coded for it... https://fanart.tv/movie/383498/deadpool-2/
I use scrapers and then export to nfos for future scrapes.

I have an extensive library and am pretty particular about editing a few metadata items before exporting to nfos (genre, movie sets, etc.)

In my testing, for a few examples I've replaced existing movie files, but copied the old nfo and renamed to match the new file. These do not download clearlogos.

It sounds like the only way I'd be able to get them is to wipe my entire library, delete all my NFOs, and scrape again from scratch. I don't think the headache from that is worth the tradeoff of those cool clearlogo files on all of my files, unfortunately. Is this really my only option?

Edit: If it helps, I am proficient in SQL and sometimes make these edits through the backend in MyVideos131.db in SQLite.

you will need to check the nfo files for artwork links. You should see something like this... If they are not there, then you won't be able to download them using your existing nfo files. Your other option is to download the artwork manually and use them as local artwork. A rescan of the movie will then find the local artwork.

This sounds like it is probably my least painful option that I can at least apply case-by-case.

Thanks.
