Not really following. What files do you have on your NAS that you don't want there?
The files you show are media files, exactly the files that should be on a NAS so they can be shared.

Best way to store your media? Check out this guide. The images should be informative...
Videos... https://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Create_Video_Library
Music... https://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Create_Music_Library

Also breakfast.club.[1985]-logo.png should be breakfast.club.[1985]-clearlogo.png

The .jpg files for the various fanart are not really necessary on the NAS, as all is already stored in thumbnails on your local Kodi device.
The .nfo files I would keep (for now), as it contains all scraped metadata on the movie/tvshow such as movie plot, actors, etcetera, and it can also contain the watched/resume statuses of the video when you do a regular video library export (without the fanart graphics).

If you have a proper NAS that also has SSH terminal backdoor access, you could remove all the .jpg files with just one line of text on the command line... But that is for the more experienced user.

Ooh I am surprised with that comment and I completely disagree with it. Smile
I think the OP has it correct, nfo files and original artwork as a backup for the library.
Deleting the artwork will only cause problems now and in future.
Now because the 24 hour cache check will slowly delete the artwork in the library if the original artwork is deleted
In future because the nfo files may have dead artwork links which means no artwork.
Keep the artwork.

I am just a bit confused why the OP thinks it is wrong to keep the media files on the NAS.

Hey Karellen thanks for taking the time to answer [appreciated]...

I am not saying it's wrong I just want a cleaner way of having the nfo for the media in a different way as I am still confused after ALL the years of using Kodi what's the beat way to store media [do I have separate dirs for every movie, do I have collections under one sub dir etc..]
Still not sure so wanna keep that stuff away when I change the file structure of my media.

Hope I am not being too.. stupid :/

Thnaks
No, not being stupid. I just didn't fully understand the question. I do now.

First, how many movies do you have? As a general guide don't add all your movies to one Source.
I have mine split into Bluray, DVD's and TV Recordings, but you are free to split anyway you want.

Definitely use Movie Folders.

Yes, you can group movies belonging to a collection into a movie set subdirectory.
Make sure you add your Movie Set Information Folder for the movie set artwork... https://kodi.wiki/view/Movie_set_information_folder

Install Artwork Dump and it will download original artwork for you each time you scrape a new movie... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=360078

thanks for this info, if I use this logic for a TV series say something like Star Trek would you have a root folder called Star Trek and then the series names underneath or is it Star Trek - series name for each series?

will look into the links you have mentioned

may I please get clarification on your statement "As a general guide don't add all your movies to one Source" what is this term "source" please

thank you for your time...

TV Series are not as flexible as for movies. It is quite a bit stricter.
For TV Series you mus have...
Source > TV Series No subfolders with more tv shows.
Sure, you can have one Source that holds all your Star Trek shows if you like. There certainly is enough of them now.

The Source is the parent folder that contains your movies or TV shows. It is this parent folder that you add to Kodi as the Source or the path that Kodi searches for the media.
If you look at the first image in green here... https://kodi.wiki/view/Naming_video_files/Movies it shows the layout.
For tv shows it is here... https://kodi.wiki/view/Naming_video_files/TV_shows

Then that Source folder is added to Kodi as shown here... https://kodi.wiki/view/Adding_video_sources
Then Kodi will search the Source folders looking for media to add to your library.

Also, never mix media. ie, don't mix tv shows, movies, music in one source. All need to be separate.

Understood, and thank you
You have give me a lot to read and digest.
I will use this new information to start again on a laptop and test

As to the opening question I do not see a way out other than manual !!!! as I am scared to loose something so check and delete for years to come in my future Smile

thank you once again for giving me your valuable time

have a great day further

What do you have there. Do you just have all your video files, artwork, nfo files for different movies all loose in one folder?
I wonder if one of the Media Managers can do that. I also think filebot does exactly that.
Maybe others can help
