With all the content being released that is in the same universe's, it would be nice to have a MCU tab or Star Wars tab that would have all my shows and movies in one area instead of having to go back and forth. I think this has been discussed before, why has it not been implimented?
Thank you!

Too difficult. It would mean a complete redesign of the library to be able to combine movies and tv shows. But if you are up for the task, PR's are welcome.
FWIW I have added stub library entries in my movie universes to represent tv shows. You can't play them, but at least you know
when to play them.

I would love to but at 38, I don't have the skills or the time to learn the language. I know there are people who want this, what dollar amount would make it worth it? I am sure a kickstarter or some sort of fund could be raised to make it worth your guys time? Or is that just wishful thinking? Maybe Kodi 21?

Yep, it is just that.
It is too massive a job. Like I said, it is a complete redesign to combine movies and tv shows which affects most of Kodi.
You could use a Basic Playlist. I have tried it, but it involves quite a bit of work to setup, and its not real pretty to scroll through...

Here's a bit of a less traditional approach to solving this. It leverages
virtual folders in
Mezzmo where I combined some MCU movies and TV shows together. All have full metadata, can be browsed and are playable. A bit out of the box but possible.

So just a thought that came to me, would it be possible to add information to .nfo's that would allow them to be grouped together and then add it to be a mixed playlist?

You can convert movies to episodes, or episodes to movies...

Just to make it clear (if I haven't been already), there is no way to combine movies and tv shows/episodes
libraries.
Basic playlist, which is simply pointing to the video files, are not a library feature so it does not really care what they are.
