I've been using XBMC on Xbox for quite some time now. Just recently I also installed it on my Ubuntu Linux machine. Now I've noticed that the buffering of mms:// streams is significantly slower on Linux than it is on Xbox. I haven't tested it with other stream types, but with mms:// (with Dutch channels from the Xot-UZG script), the problem is reproducable.
