Noticed now that kodi.tv news page have a new article about Kodi "Nexus" Beta 1:

https://kodi.tv/article/kodi-nexus-beta-1/

Surprised though that article did not mention any changelog commits about Kodi Game / RetroPlayer and Libretro or games/gaming input related features for which there have been many commits too since Matrix:

Kodi "Nexus" 20.0 changelog for RetroPlayer and game input is also missing in the thread for RetroPlayer Test Builds, otherwise could have referred to that :

I guess that Kodi's Libretro wrapper compatibility layer for the Kodi Game API might also have brought some backend improvements indirectly from upstream too or?

Is there a changelog for the Kodi Game section related to new games/gaming or game-controller input features and functions?

I believe there are a few relevantly recent and very important such as example these:

* RetroPlayer: Savestate manager (for handling game save states ) -> https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/20913

* Set Game metadata https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/21286
  * Includes support for service.games.discord.richpresence addon -> https://github.com/NikosSiak/service.gam...chpresence

* In-game Port Setup dialog  https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/20505

* Updated controller add-ons

The RetroPlayer 20 beta 1 (2022-11-23) build also bundles some game-related add-ons to improve the quality of life for Kodi Game testers.

* Updated controller add-ons
* Includes all 76 controller profiles ?
* Includes VFS add-ons for compressed ROMs ?

* Includes add-on repos for IAGL, Steam Launcher and libretro buildbot cores ?
I was kind of hoping there would be an option added to completely remove the baked-in game section from a Kodi mediaplayer, where it might be seen as unremovable bloat Wink

Nope, not in there Wink

I do not understand if that sarcasm is meant as trolling? Why otherwise reply with something that unconstructive here? Might meet the definition https://dictionary.cambridge.org/diction...h/trolling

Anyway https://kodi.tv and https://kodi.tv/about say "Kodi is the ultimate entertainment center" and "It is media center and entertainment hub".

Kodi's website does not state anywhere that Kodi is meant to be only a media player.

The Kodi core in LibreELEC uses some 400-500 MB in internal memory. I think we can strike off the bloat thing.
Sorry about that, i forgot about the long toes. Forget what i said.
