I havr recently bought a DVD/CD-player for my Raspberry/Kodi.
The CD-part works fine but when I play a DVD it frezes after a while.

Is there anything I should check and change?

Check dmesg for USB reset type messages. These usually indicate power supply issues (i.e. drive taking too much current and voltage dropping, causing a reset).
Is drive externally powered? Can you try connecting through a powered USB hub?

I have a external power supply but it might be to small.

I tried with a bigger external power source and it seems to work now.
