Full Version: No access to Android/Data (advancedsettings.xml) on Chromecast w Google TV, OS v12!

Please note:

OS version 12 of Google TV no longer allows access to /Android/Data, so there is no possibility to edit "advancedsettings.xml" or copy from a network/external device.  This breaks the ability to use a central MYSQL/MARIAdb server for libraries.

This is Google's doing but hopeful some press will become aware of this disturbing new restriction on Android 12 for Google TV.

There is a banner at the top of this forum containing a hint to your problem.
Update with solution:  While Chromecast with Google TV no longer allows third-party file browsers, e.g. X-plore File Manager, to /Android/Data,   Kodi's internal file manager allows you to copy files from network shares to the Profile directory, so advancedsettings.xml can be edited on computer and transferred over.
