I'm developing a Kodi add-on to clean thumbnails and cache, but it's also deleting my generated thumbnails. Is there a way to exclude the thumbnail folder from cleaning, or a script to automatically regenerate them? Where does Kodi store its picture thumbnails and add-on icons?

if you already are creating an add-on to clean thumbnails and cache, and you also see they are being deleted by your own add-on, why are you now asking to know where the thumbnails are stored?

The current core Kodi functionality does not clean out the thumbnail folder by itself. There are add-ons that can do that.
