I would love to see support for that on all platforms. I know, it is a fringe case but it would presumably allow users to directly send sound to external DACs and achieve passthrough of formats that are not now supported by Kodi, like DSD. I have tried with ASIO4ALL under Windows, which has a fairly recent version but it doesn't seem to get picked up by Kodi as an output device.
