I am running new kodi 20 on firestick 4k Max, I have noticed that I have to go to settings/applications and force a stop before kodi will load? This happens on both of my fire sticks.

Works fine on my three Firetv 4K Max -> therefore a Debug Log is mandatory.

this is a normal condition on android because of android's resource management it puts kodi to sleep in the background and is unable to wake back up
to avoid this ive found that completely quitting kodi when not in the foreground is needed
eventually if you try to reopen kodi a couple of times the background process will eventually end and it will start again without the force stop

@fritsch unless one of your wonderful vudu builds is better than the one we download from kodi.tv
to duplicate, open kodi on gen3 allow it to load and be idle for a small amount of time
press the home key on the remote, open a different app, go back home and then try to open kodi
9/10 times it will hang then crash and then you can finally reopen it
